YEDİKULE RESIDENCES

Situated on Istanbul’s European side, in close proximity to the Historic Land Walls, one of the city’s most significant heritage elements. The project takes its cues from the historic urban fabric, establishing a sensitive dialogue between contemporary residential architecture and its surroundings. The design prioritizes the integration of landscape and open space into the residential experience, maximizing private garden areas and creating a strong relationship between the built environment and nature. The massing is carefully articulated in scale and proportion, responding to the existing urban grain and historic context while maintaining a contemporary architectural expression. Through this approach, Yedikule Houses proposes a layered living environment where architecture, landscape, and the historic character of Istanbul converge.
