L House was conceived on a hillside site south of İzmir, overlooking striking views of the Aegean Sea and its fertile landscape, where pine forests converge with olive and citrus groves.

At the back of the site, a solitary stone wall a remnant of an abandoned village, regarded as a landmark by hikers in the area together with the thoughts and associations evoked during a pause beside it, became the project’s landmark / point of reference for the spatialization of void and place.

All elements essential to spatial comfort were discreetly integrated wherever possible, while the structural system was conceived to frame a boundless panorama.
The slabs and walls were deliberately detached from each other and from the ground, creating an image of hovering / floating, in reference to the initial evocations of the story and the idea of the "inevitable transience of the constructed / artificial"
